Friendship Fish and Float (FFF) is all about volunteering.
We currently have over 40 volunteers trained and ready to take seniors fishing or cruising on our lakes, and of course, we have all-volunteer leadership to run the chapter. FFF is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. If you enjoy fishing and having a good time on the water, you can be part of a two-person team who can take clients on outings. There will always be a minimum of two adult volunteers on the pontoon – one to captain the watercraft, the other to assist. You only need to be over 16 and able to assist clients on the pontoon. We provide both organizational training and on-the-water training for our volunteers. All you need to do is sign up.
We encourage husband-wife, father-son, mother-daughter, etc. teams to volunteer as well as individuals who just love the water. What better way to spend a day helping seniors, who have given so much to us, and also being on the water to fish or cruise? If you have the heart and desire to help others and would rather not be on the water, you can help by volunteering at parades or other functions or fundraising events. You may have special talents that can benefit FFF. If you are interested in volunteering to work with us, call us at (507) 313-3162 or complete the Volunteer Application.
John Paulson is the Safety Trainer
Safety Training takes place on Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. You must preregister with John. Captains and Mates must attend a training session prior to operating the pontoon or working with guests.
